Covenant Enforcement
Candelas is a covenant-controlled community within the Vauxmont Metropolitan District, committed to maintaining high standards of design and architectural integrity. Each property must adhere to specific design standards as outlined in the Protective Covenants and Easements. This ensures that all modifications, including construction, landscaping, and exterior alterations, harmonize with the community’s overall aesthetic and uphold its quality standards. Homeowners are responsible for maintaining their properties in a clean and attractive condition, which includes regular weeding, mowing, watering, and pruning of landscaping. As a covenant-controlled community, regular inspections are conducted to ensure adherence to these standards.
To preserve the aesthetic integrity of the community, all proposed exterior modifications must receive approval prior to starting any work. The CDRC has up to 45 days to review submissions to ensure they comply with the established design guidelines. Adhering to these procedures helps protect property values and maintains a cohesive, well-maintained environment for the whole community.
